Rombauer's Zinfandel Port tastes nothing like real port. (Personally, I
think California?s long practice of marketing its wines using European
names is both a sin and a shame. Many good wines hid their light under
that bushel, while many mediocre wines claimed a heritage and status
they did not deserve.) In any case, this is a reasonably tasty dessert
wine with rich flavors of dark chocolate and black cherries. An
interesting alternative to the usual dessert options. Grade: B-
