All of the following Yering Station wines are from the Yarra Valley appellation:
Sauvignon Blanc 2004: Pale yellow. Very herbaceous nose. Melons and grapefruit. Bitter finish. Grade: B-
Marsanne-Viognier-Roussanne 2004: Apples, apricoyts, ginger, and nutmeg. Big floral nose. Complex. Tasty. Grade: B+
Pinot Noir 2002: An attractive ruby color. Strong plum aromas and flavors over mushrooms and earth. Very quaffable. Grade: B+
Sangiovese 2004: Cherries and tomato sauce, but also an odd note suggesting baked beans. Not your father's Chianti, that's for sure. Grade: C+
Pinot Gris Botrytis 2003: Moderate sweetness and good acidity make it quite refreshing for a dessert wine. Honey and candied citrus. Crisp. Grade: B/B+
