5. My faith and a country in which I'm free to practice it

8. George Bush isn't President anymore

10. Good food and good wine

I'm not thankful for:

1. Mike Schill leaving UCLA for Chicago (boo, hiss)
2. Barack Obama is President
3. Sarah Palin remains a public figure
4. Reality TV
5. Dan Snyder still owns the Washington Redskins
6. The Dallas Cowboys still exist
7. Creamed pearl onions
8. Canned cranberry sauce
9. The dysfunctional California government
10. The disproportionate overrepresentation of liberals on law school faculties

I understand not wanting Sarah Palin to be president (or even in elected office), but a public figure? I can think of dozens and dozens of public figures far more annoying and with less talent. Give Palin her due, there is something about her. And I have to admit I can't help but like an attrative woman who fishes.
