Celebrity sex tapes these days are a dime a dozen. My guess is that a lot of them (maybe even most) were intentionally made and leaked by the celebrity as a way of garnering publicity for a flagging career.
But WTF was John Edwards thinking? The boys at Red State Update opine (extreme NSFW potty mouth warning, as Dunlap cuts loose like the proverbial sailor with most of the 7 words you can't say on TV):
I have decided that Edwards was one of the most egotistical politicians I have ever paid any attention to, and that is saying something.
The whole story is one of political hubris cubed.
