Sirs: I have been a loyal reader and subscriber to the Economist for many years. Of late, however, your increasingly execrable delivery service has called that loyalty into question.
I did not receive the print version of the September 1 issue of The Economist. The August 23rd issue arrived on Thursday, August 30. This has become typical. If the print edition arrives at all, it does so on Tuesday to Thursday of the week after the cover date. Not surprisingly, as of today, I have not yet received the September 8th issue.
What is the point of subscribing to the print issue, if it either never comes or comes days late when the news is stale?
You may recall that I emailed you about this issue about this time last year. Things have not improved in the interim.
Is it possible to convert my subscription to a purely digital version at a lower cost than the print version? Otherwise, I doubt I will renew my subscription.
