A pleasant red Burgundy, but not an especially profound one. Certainly not deserving of Grand Cru status, as it tastes more like a village wine. Still, it offered decent Pinot Noir fruit, good acidity, and some maturity markers. Cherries, raspberries, minerals, spoices (nutmeg?), leather. Probably at or just past its peak, so drink up. Grade: B-/B
