A beautiful salmon color, with masses of very fine, delicate bubbles. A lovely bouquet of cherries, strawberries, toast, and honey. On the palate, this is a wine of great depth, richness, and weight. Raspberries, strawberries, toast, honey, chalk. Definitely not a picnic quaffer; this is a serious wine deserving to be served with serious food (in this case, a wild rice and mushroom soup). Grade: A-
