We're Number 8

Brian Leiter ranks UCLA as the #8 law school for corporate and securities law, based on wins in the Corporate Practice Commentator's annual best article poll. I should note the seemingly valid methodological question Go rdon Smith raises, however. It would be interesting to see how UCLA ranked based on other indicia, such as SSRN downloads and citations in cases and law review. My guess is that we'd move up a notch or two or three, especially if you counted prolific folks like Lynn Lopucki and Steven Bank among our corporate law group.
