Chateau Mouton-Rothschild (Pauillac) 1985

A medium-bodied wine of finesse rather than power. A powerful, room- filling bouquet offers black fruit, pencil shavings, and an earthy element suggesting black truffles. The flavor profile includes blackberries, red currants, tobacco, and minerals. Ready to drink, but will hold another decade. An excellent wine, but some points must be substracted due to the very high price. Grade: A-
