A new short story from science fiction writer Charles Stross attempts to persuade its readers to consider a temporal relocation to the 28th century. Not bad, although not up to his usual standards.
By the way, Charlie, it's "tawny port," not Tawney. Although RH Tawney was a justly famous economic historian, social critic, and Fabian socialist (right up your alley, eh?), as far as I know he was not a purveyor of port. (See my Port FAQ.)
Also, Charlie, that's two wine strikes.
