Although bottled as a proprietary red wine, the 2003 Geyserville qualified for varietal labeling as a Zinfandel (albeit just barely), being a blend of 76% Zinfandel, 18% Carignane, and 6% Petite Sirah. I liked it a lot, especially with a fairly spicy fajitas dinner. Big wild berry flavors and aromas. There are some interesting spice flavors on the finish, as well. This is a balanced and harmonious wine that lacks the off flavors I found in Ridge Zins from, say, 2000 or 2002. It's not going to last much longer, so drink up. Grade: B+
