Dealbook reports that:
Fresh off a Senate vote to overhaul financial regulations, the Obama administration on Friday immediately began trying to influence the process for combining the Senate and House bills, pressing for tough provisions in the face of a final onslaught of Wall Street lobbying ....Which prompts the question: Where's Joe Biden during all this? As a former senator from Delaware, Biden presumably understands the importance of the state role in corporate governance. So he presumably gets that the say on pay, proxy access, majority vote, and other corporate governance provisions in the senate bill are very bad ideas. Why isn't he working to get them out of the final product?
