How can a listing of almost 50 books that are supposedly the best books on American conservatism include novels by Ayn Rand, Tom Wolfe, John Updike, and Robert Heinlein, as well as two books by apostate Garry Wills, and nothing by Russell Kirk? Nothing. (HT: Zywicki)
It's patently absurd. Part of the problem, of course, is that most of the voters seem to be either liberals, liberaltarians, or neo-conservatives, but even they ought to know the canon.
