I am off to Las Vegas to attend Valcon 2011, which is a conference for deal makers, fund investors, and financial or legal advisers in the distressed debt, restructuring and valuation business.
I'll be giving the Regulatory Keynote Address on "Will Dodd-Frank Reduce Systemic Risk?" To narrow that sweeping topic a bit, I've focused my presentation on "Executive Compensation and Risk in the Post-Dodd Frank Environment."
The talk is loosely based on my article Dodd-Frank: Quack Federal Corporate Governance Round II (September 7, 2010). UCLA School of Law, Law-Econ Research Paper No. 10-12. Available at SSRN: http://ssrn.com/abstract=1673575.
Blogging will be light until I get back next week.
