UCLA political scientist Lynn Vavreck is a very impressive and perceptive analyst (I've heard here talk here on campus several times). In the video attached to this story she discusses her reasearch on the 2012 campaign. At the end of the video, she casually drops the bombshell that she believes Newt Gingrich poses perhaps the most serious threat to Obama of all the GOP candidates.
