Joe Palazzolo very nearly has a crisis (to use a Jeremy Clarkson-ism):
Law Blog has never met Chancellor Leo Strine of the Delaware Chancery Court, but we are officially a fan.
We at PB.com are too, of course. Anyway, Joe continues:
Late last year, Strine awarded plaintiffs’ attorneys $300 million in fees after they won a $2 billion judgment in a shareholder derivative lawsuit.
We’ve finally had a chance to look at the transcript from the Dec. 23 hearing in which Strine made the record-shattering award, and whether you agree with the man or not, there is no disputing that he executes his duties with verve.
Joe goes on to list his "favorite Strineisms." There are some real gems.
For my take on Chancellor Strine's fee opinion, go here.
