The Steading has always been one of my favorite Australian wines. In 2007, it was comprised of 60% Grenache and 20% each Mataro and Shiraz (a.k.a. Mourvèdre and Syrah). Deep purple color. No sediment to speak of yet. Rich red fruits on the nose are echoed on the palate, but the latter is a tad jammy and also features underlying earth and spice. I like it a lot. Grade: A-
