Drinking a quality Spring Mountain cabernet at age 3+ is practically infanticide, but while this wine clearly has the tannin and acid structure to support extended cellaring, it also made a great match for a steak tonight. It's an incredibly deep purple, almost black. Strong bouquet of dark fruits. Rich fruity attack on the palate, with a lingering tannic finish. Your mouth puckers for several minutes after each sip, but in a good way. Plums, black currants, blackberries. Grade: A-/A
