Over at The Glom, commenting on the corporate governance conference I hosted on Friday and Saturday, Usha Rodrigues gave me one of the nicest compliments I've ever received:
One of the great things about Steve Bainbridge is his openness to critics and his genuine desire to engage in a conversation with opposing viewpoints. Most people just want to hear that they're right. Steve doesn't, and that's a rare thing in this business.
Of course, I don't mind hearing that I'm right on occasion, but arguing (nicely) with really smart people like Usha about the whys and wherefores of corporate law is at least half the fun of my job. Anyway, this one goes into the scrapbook.
