The AALS has announced that:
We seek proposals for “remarks” for an “open mic” portion of a program about the persistence of discrimination in legal academia. This program, which has been endorsed by 13 AALS sections,* is designed to further conversations about intersectional bias in law teaching—including discrimination based on gender, race, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic class—and to activate strategies for addressing continuing problems.
Notice the absence of any releference to ideological or religious bias, which is curious because we know that the applicants most likely to suffer bias in law school hiring are almost certainly pro-life female Christian Republicans.
I'd recommend that the AALS folks running this program find a bible and read Matthew 7:3-5.
