Fattoria di Fèlsina Berardenga Chianti Classico Riserva (Tuscany) 2007

I served the 2007 Fèlsina tonight with cheese lasagna, which was probably not a match that encouraged it to show its best, but it was still quite enjoyable. Medium depth ruby color. Good bouquet of cherries, spice, and earth. Ditto the palate. Light to medium body. Short finish. Smooth tannins suggest it's probably at peak (or just past it). Grade: 87
