Broc Romanek reports that Lisa Fairfax's nomination to the SEC is still being hung up by Democrat members of the Banking Committee.
After all the complaining Democrats have done about the confirmation process, it's an outrage that they are holding up Lisa Fairfax's nomination to the SEC. Fairfax is one of their own (a Democrat nominated by the White House) and supremely qualified for the job. And they compound it by trying to use the confirmation process to extort a commitment out of Fairfax to prejudge the outcome of a rule making proceeding that hasn't even begun. If that doesn't flout due process and the APA, it damned well ought to.
