Many in our audience are lawyers. Often lawyers want to become members of the board. What does it take for a lawyer to become a member of a board? What are some paths and resources for lawyers interested in becoming a member?

I wish I knew. As someone for whom the board of directors is his principal academic interest, I’d love to get the experience of actually serving on a board. But nobody’s asked.
